HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!!

Happy new year everyone!!! Can you believe its 2012? I'm just floored to think that this is the year that I come home. I'm just glad I'll have six months home before the world ends on Dec 21st. I had a fantastic Christmas and holiday week. We had a really cool experience with an inactive member we were referred to this week. When we visited her, she said she was on the verge of suicide and an atheist. We were asked to go give her a blessing, and at first, she was very reluctant to let us in. As we talked to her, something changed in her demeanor. She started really listening to us and asked some good questions about God and the church. At the end of the lesson, we gave her a blessing. Apparently, it was a pretty good blessing because since then she has told everyone she's not an atheist anymore, and she's praying again for the first time in years. She also wants to come back to church and to through the temple again someday. It almost seemed too good to be true. I've never seen such a night-and-day transformation before. One thing I know for sure though, is that what happened had very little to do with us. We were simply in the right place, at the right time. The time was right, and this sister found her Heavenly Father again. I'm so grateful to know that God never gives up on us, even if we give up on Him. Happy New Year everyone, I hope this year can be one of happiness and success for us all.
